B.A., Swarthmore College; M.S., Stanford University; Ph.D., Cornell University. Research interests include climate change, plant communities, plant diseases, and disease ecology and evolution. Education research in areas of primary literature, writing, student self-direction, and metacognition. She previously taught at the University of Virginia's College at Wise, where her courses included Evolutionary Morphology of Plants, Plant Cell Function, Symbiosis, and Emerging Epidemics. Her work has been published or is in preparation for Global Change Biology, Ecological Applications, Oecologia, Ecology, and Curr. Opin.Vlr. Member, Ecological Society of America and American Society for Plant Biologists. At Bard since 2015.
