Biography:

B.S., M.A., University of Missouri-Columbia; Ph.D. candidate, University of North Carolina. Has taught at University of Missouri-Columbia, University of North Carolina, New School University. Teaching interests include 17th-century British history and literature, writing, rhetoric, and pedagogy. At Bard since 2004.

  • Research Interests: 17th-century British history; early modern print culture; the teaching of writing; history of rhetoric
  • Teaching Interests: FYSEM; early modern history; early modern literature; historical research methods
  • Other Interests: Film; Midwestern culture; children's literature
