B.A., Harvard University. Jacqueline Soohen is an award-winning documentary producer and cinematographer known for the features Dirty Wars, an Academy Award nominee and Sundance Festival cinematography winner; In Tahrir Square; I Know I’m Not Alone; Fourth World War; This Is What Democracy Looks Like; Black and Gold, audience award winner at the San Francisco Independent Festival; and Zapatista, best documentary winner at CineFestival, NextFrame, and the Smithsonian Latino Film Series. Her films have also been screened on television, covering such subjects as the white nationalist movement, BP oil spill, Hurricane Katrina, voter suppression, and the 2009 Honduran coup. She is a cofounder of Big Noise Films with Richard Rowley, also a Visiting Artist in Residence at Bard. Honors include Soros and Jerome Fellowships. At Bard since 2016.
