Biography:

B.A., Harvard College; M.F.A., California Institute of the Arts. Composer, artist. Works commissioned and presented by Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art (including Whitney Biennials 2002 and 2008), Performa Biennial of Performance (2009 and 2011), Creative Time, The Kitchen, New York; Tate Modern Museum, Liverpool Biennial (2010), UK; Ultima Festival, Ny Musikk, Norway; British School at Rome, Angelica Festival, Italy; Wien Modern, Musikprotokoll, Ars Electronica, Austria; Donaueschingen Musiktage, MaerzMusik, Germany; MUTEK, Vancouver New Music Festival, Canada; Tura New Music, Australia; and Taktlos Bern, Switzerland; among many others. Recipient of 2011 Grants to Artists award from Foundation for Contemporary Arts. Residency with Merce Cunningham Dance Company. Recordings on Charhizma, Softl, Innova, and Quakebasket, among others. At Bard since 2006.
