Biography: B.A., Binghamton University; M.F.A., Yale School of Drama. Playwright, director, dramaturg. Recent stage productions include ghost, University of Wisconsin (2007); Sweet Maladies, Rooke Theatre, Mount Holyoke College (2006); The Etymology of Bird, New Studio Theatre, Columbia College, Chicago (2006). Residencies at Bay Area Playwrights Festival (2007), Women’s Project Playwrights Lab (2004–06), others. Has taught at University of Rochester, University of Wisconsin, Mount Holyoke College, Fordham University, Barnard College. Recipient, Theodore Ward Prize for African American Playwrights (2006), Jackson Phelan Award (2005), New Professional Theatre Award (2004). (2007– ) Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater.
