M.S., Ph.D., Technische Universität München, Munich, Germany. Physicist, specializing in theory; areas of research include the semiclassical approximation, the connection between classical and quantum descriptions of motion, and the tunneling time problem in quantum mechanics. Has previously taught at California State University, Long Beach (2006-08) and Bryn Mawr College (2005-06); conducted postdoctoral research at The College of William and Mary (2004-05), Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada (2002-04), and Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, Garching, Germany (2000). Numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Physical Review Letters, Physical Review, American Journal of Physics, Europhysics Letters, Journal of Physics, Annalen der Physik. At Bard since 2008.
