Biography:

B.A., Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran; M.A., California State University, Long Beach; Ph.D., Florida Atlantic University; postdoctoral research fellow, Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University and New York State Psychiatric Institute. Additional graduate studies, Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin. She previously taught at Hunter College, City University of New York. Publications include Journal of Health Psychology, AIDS and Behavior, Evolutionary Psychology, Archives of Sexual Behavior, Oxford Handbook of Sexual Conflict in Humans, Personality and Individual Differences, and Review of General Psychology. Presentations at Hofstra University, University of Florida, Columbia University HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies, American Public Health Association annual meeting, American Psychological Association Convention, Conference of the NorthEastern Evolutionary Psychology Society, and the Behavior and Evolution Society annual meeting, among others. Has served as special projects associate representative to the United Nations and on the editorial board of Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences. At Bard: 2014–16.
