Lothar Osterburg received one of 5 "Academy Awards in Art" by the American Academy of Arts and Letters as part of their Annual Invitational Exhibit in Visual Art.
2010-05-15 — Grant
Lothar Osterburg was awarded a research grant for "Learning the carbon printing process for the purpose of the making of gelatin pigment paper for photogravure" from Bard College.
2010-04-15 — Award
Lothar Osterburg was awarded a 2010 Fellowship by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation
2008-03-29 — Performance
"Piranesi" a stop motion animation with music by Elizabeth Brown was performed at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn, March 28th and 29th.
"Piranesi" is celebrating the artistic process in a tribute to the 18th century printmaker and architect Giovanni Battista Piranesi.
