Robert Kelly is Asher B. Edelman Professor of Literature and codirector of the Written Arts Program at Bard College. He has been on the Bard faculty since 1961, founding the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts writing program in 1980. He is the author of more than 50 books of poetry, and his numerous grants and awards include recognition from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
