How to Build a Volcano
Presented by Sarah Vorhies, Ph.D.
Candidate for the Bard-HHMI Postdoctoral Fellowship
Monday, April 22, 2013
Volcanoes are found all over the earth in many different types of settings. In this class, students will first learn about the way that rocks melt underground to make lava. We will then move on to the characteristics of that lava and the different types of volcanoes that result. Come see some volcano videos, some analogue demonstrations, and learn about the earth beneath you!
