Athletics at Bard?
Absolutely. Bard is an NCAA Division III member and fields competitive athletics teams in fifteen varsity sports. Currently a member of the Skyline Conference, Bard will be moving to the Liberty League in 2011, which ranks among the top Division III conferences in the country. Athletics and recreation facilities at Bard include the 59,000-square-foot Stevenson Gymnasium with full cardio and workout facilities and a 25-yard, six-lane pool, plus squash courts. The Lorenzo Ferrari Soccer/Lacrosse complex is a natural turf, lighted game field with an adjacent practice field. Bard also boasts six lighted, hard surface tennis courts; a platform tennis court; miles of groomed cross country trails; and a rugby field. In addition, Bard College offers intramural and club sports for athletes and fun-seekers of all skill levels, as well as a range of instructional classes. more ![]()
