Michèle D. Dominy

Michèle D. Dominy, vice president and dean of the College and professor of anthropology, began teaching at Bard in February 1981. Professor Dominy's teaching interests include the anthropology of place, feminist anthropology, interpretive anthropology, the anthropology of religion, and the ethnography of communication. She has conducted long-term field research in the high country of New Zealand and Australia, and is the author of Calling the Station Home: Place and Identity in New Zealand’s High Country.
