Q:Hi. I'm a high school student. I was just wondering that if I decide to attend Bard College which high school courses do I have to take in order to be admitted? What must my GPA and SAT scores be? I am interested in enrolling in Art and Japanese-related things.

Q:Dear Admissions, I will be applying in the fall, and I have a question about your math requirements. I have the chance to take AP Government this coming year (my only other AP will be in French). I'm also signed up for two other semester-long history classes: one on world religions, and one on the Holocaust. To add AP Government, I would need to drop Statistics (my math class) or the other history courses. I would prefer to drop the math, if that would be acceptable to Bard. I took Intro. to Pre-Calculus junior year and made a B+.

Q:I am planning to take a year off and I would like to know whether there are any specific requirements that Bard College has for students taking gap years and what these are. If there are no specific requirements, are there specific application procedures for gap year students?

Q:I was curious as to whether there were any first-year dormitories that contain practice rooms inside the building, and if there are any, which are they?

Q:The retention and graduation rates listed for Bard in many of the college catalogues appears to be lower than many of the other comparable colleges. How does Bard understand this? What happens to these students and why do they either leave Bard or not graduate? One catalogue had the graduation rate as low as 59%. I appreciate your time in responding to this question. Thank you.

Q:I submitted a fee-waiver for the application Fee in the Freshmen Application for fall 2006. Will that interfere with my admission to Bard?

Q:The Bard Supplement Question (#2) asks that the essay be sent via regular mail not email. If I am applying online by the Common App, do I send the supplement essay by itself , and is any ID required to identify it as mine?

Q:On the College Board website it says to contact a school about rushing scores. Does Bard accept rushed scores? If not, will sending them 'regular' take too long for Early Action?
