Campus Life

Our Campus

Notable features of the Bard campus range from two historic estates to wireless networking capabilities (WiFi) in the campus center, libraries, and many residence halls. Several of Bard's buildings are ecologically friendly, incorporating "green" materials, energy-saving lighting, and geothermal heating and cooling systems.

Facilities and Resources

The campus offers cinemas; an ecology field station; archeological excavation sites; painting, metalwork, sculpture, and photography studios; a community garden; a shared Jewish-Muslim sacred space; a chapel; a nursery school; and other amenities. Campus resources include the Bard Center, which sponsors lectures, seminars, and conferences; the Hessel Museum of Art, a contemporary art museum at the Center for Curatorial Studies and Art in Contemporary Culture; The Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, which conducts research and educational programs in economics and public policy; and the Gabrielle H. Reem and Herbert J. Kayden Center for Science and Computation, the new home of the Computer Science, Biology, and Mathematics Programs. more more
