Housing
The more than 40 student residences vary in architectural characteristics, social style, and size. Most are coed, and almost half the rooms are for single occupancy. Residence halls are equipped with extension phones, Internet access, social rooms, kitchens, and laundries. Onsite residence directors and peer counselors help students develop programs and activities to create an environment for serious academic engagement and safe, respectful community living. more 
Dining
Students enjoy a flexible meal plan, dining at the hour of their choice. They may use their meal card in Kline Commons, the campus cafés, and the Green Onion. The food service caters to vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians, and offers limited kosher and halal selections. There are four food service facilities on campus:
Kline Commons: Main Resident Dining Hall
Kline Commons offers a market-style dining program that features a wide variety of entree choices at six points of service. All menu offerings are batch cooked by an experienced culinary staff using the freshest products possible. Selections can be made from the
Trattoria featuring hand made pizza selections, baked pastas, tossed pastas and salads. The
Fresh Grille offers a wide selection from eggs to order using only cage free eggs to hamburgers and garden burgers to Mongolian grill.
Origins features traditional homestyle cooked entrees using only antibiotic-free chicken and pork. Vegetarian and vegan items can be found at the
Terra Ve and features two entrees daily using locally grown and produced products whenever available. Other featured stations are
Market Carvery and the
Garden Emporium which offer a full hand-cut salad bar with homemade composed salads, salad dressings and soups. All of the milk in Kline is locally produced by Hudson Valley Fresh. The main resident dining hall is a facility with a large central dining area as well as a smaller more private dining room all equipped with wireless Internet service. The buildng also houses several meeting rooms and the Green Onion Grocer, a small convenience store.
Green Onion
The Green Onion Grocer is the central market place for snacks and staple items on campus. It features a selection of fresh produce, milk and dairy products as well as a full line of dried goods, beverages, snacks and sundries. Meal plan dollars can be used to make purchases at the Green Onion.
Manor House Café
Manor House Café is our retail dining facility on north campus, offering a selection of upscale unique salads as well as stacker sandwiches and hot entree selections. Manor Café has ala carte offerings off of their Fresh Grill featuring grilled fish, local beef and other regional selections. Meal plans can be used at Manor house using our ABC meal exchange program. Enjoy dining in Manor's elegant dining room or sit on the terrace overlooking a serene landscape of mountains and meadows.
Down The Road Café
Down the Road Café is a retail dining destination located in the Campus Center. The café features a wide selection of sandwich, grilled foods, and grab and go items. In addition, there are several new and exciting menu choices produced from our wood burning pizza oven. DTR is the hub venue on campus as it is open for breakfast operating continually until midnight daily. Come and enjoy our all fair trade coffee program from Pura Vida. Meal plan Bard Bucks can be used for purchases at Down the Road.
