The Bard Graduate Center presents a broad range of Exhibition-Related Education Programs for audiences encompassing novice collectors, students, scholars, artists, and other professionals in the field. Our educational programs complement the BGC's current exhibition and explore the history of the decorative arts and design from their origins to the present day. The breadth of offerings reflects the international scope, diverse cultural interests, and interdisciplinary approach of the BGC's master of arts and Doctoral programs. Speakers include distinguished scholars, curators, designers, artists, collectors, and faculty members from the Center.

The Department of Exhibition-Related Education also organizes a variety of programs to engage a diverse audience including educators, seniors, families, and school and community groups. Open Houses for Seniors provide stimulating educational experiences for one of the largest demographic groups in our community. Family and Community Days give young people and adults an opportunity to participate together in hands-on design activities while experiencing the BGC’s exhibitions from various perspectives. Guided tours allow school and adult groups to examine themes related to exhibitions with an experienced educator. Generous support for senior programs is provided by The Rudin Foundation.
.

The BGC's programs take place at the 18 and 38 West 86th Street facilities; other special events may be held offsite.

The BGC makes its programs accessible to people with disabilities. Our facility is equipped with a hearing-assistance system. Please call to discuss arrangements if you have special needs.
