The James Chace Memorial Speaker Series

About the Speaker Series

The James Chace Memorial Speaker Series features leading figures in international affairs discussing topical and timely issues of global concern at the BGIA office, 36 West 44th St. Suite 1011, and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs in Manhattan. They conclude with an opportunity for participants to converse with the speakers. Events are held once a month, typically on a Thursday evening, and are open to the general public. About James Chace

BGIA was founded by the late James Chace, a diplomatic historian, Managing Editor of Foreign Affairs, the World Policy Journal, and the Paul W. Williams Professor of Government and Public Law at Bard College. He authored numerous articles and books on international affairs, including Acheson: The Secretary Of State Who Created The American World, and 1912: Wilson, Roosevelt, Taft and Debs-The Election that Changed the Country.
