Admission Information
The Office of Admission at
Bard High
School Early College II (BHSEC II) is committed to recruiting highly
motivated young adults from the five boroughs of New York City. It is
our goal to provide these students who are ready for the rigor of our
early college program with a challenging curriculum one that will
foster and cultivate their intellectual curiosity. In order to ensure
the success of individual students and of our early college program, we
invest a significant amount of time and effort into our admissions
process.
Students who gain admissions
to BHSEC II
can look forward to completing most of the high school program and the
required New York State Regents Exams in the first two years. Students
with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 for the ninth and
tenth grades are eligible for entry into the early college program. At
the end of four years, students have completed 60 college credits and
receive the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree in the liberal arts and
sciences from Bard College as well as a New York State Regents diploma.
