Bard operates a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles for use by Buildings and Grounds, Safety and Security, Transportation, and others.

In 2009, fleet emissions were estimated to be 510 tCO2e, or about 3.5 percent of Bard’s total emissions for the year. Bard received a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for a Prius, two electric vans, and a hybrid diesel electric 32-passenger shuttle. Visit the Climate Action Plan

- Green Permit Parking—Robbins parking lot has two parking spaces for green vehicle parking. Register through Security to receive a pass for these spaces. Fuel-efficient and low-emitting vehicles only (EPA SmartwayElite and ACEEE Green Score 40+).
