Libraries

 --

Bard has a network of six libraries located in Annandale; Great Barrington, Massachusetts; New York City; and St. Petersburg, Russia. The core of this network is an online system that provides instant access to all collections, as well as more than 80 databases and 10,000 full-text, online journals. New in 2005 is ConnectNY, a resource-sharing consortium that provides easy and quick access to 4 million additional volumes. Special collections include the personal library of philosopher Hannah Arendt; the Levy Economics Institute’s journals; the Center for Curatorial Studies’s international exhibition catalogues, books, journals, and artist archives; and the Bard Graduate Center’s collection pertaining to the history of design and ornamentation throughout the world.
