Bard MBA in Sustainability

Established in 2011, the Bard MBA is one of a handful of programs around the world that focus on the business case for sustainability: the integration of economic, environmental, and social objectives to create successful businesses that build a more sustainable world. The two-year, low-residency program, based in New York City, is structured around monthly weekend intensives, running from Friday morning to Monday afternoon, and online instruction two evenings a week between the monthly residencies. The curriculum is built around thematic modules that allow students to explore topics in depth. Faculty include scholars from the Bard Center for Environmental Policy and the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College as well as business professionals at the top of their fields. The goal of the program is to have graduates transform existing companies, start their own, and pioneer business models for meeting human needs while protecting and restoring the earth’s natural systems.
