CCE for Students

The Center for Civic Engagement provides students with numerous types of opportunities to engage with the world around them, participate in transformative action, and experience educational opportunities around the globe. Whether it be study abroad programs, a multitude of internship opportunities, or being given support and guidance in launching a student-led initiative, CCE helps connect students with the wider world around them.

Student-Led Initiatives

At the core of CCE’s student-led initiatives is the Trustee Leadership Program (TLS). Based upon the belief that our students have the ability to take complete ownership of their own work, TLS provides students the opportunity to design and implement a wide variety of hands-on projects.

Student Opportunities

The Center for Civic Engagement plays a central role in assisting students in securing internships. CCE coordinates with numerous partners on campus, and sponsors an array of off-campus programs both stateside and abroad, featuring numerous internship opportunities.

Student Experience

Bard students come from across the country and around the globe. While pursuing their degrees, they volunteer in the community, develop their career goals, and bring their talents to the campus and the region. They share a love of learning and the leadership to make their mark on the world. More>>

Study Abroad

Bard has developed a number of programs specifically designed to integrate students into foreign cultures and academic environments. When combined with related academic study and foreign language fluency, study abroad enables students to gain essential perspectives on the history, culture, and concerns of people around the globe.
