The Bathos of Belonging: Thoughts on the Sharjah Biennial 2005
The Sharjah Biennial in the United Arab Emirates is one of the most important contemporary art events in the middle east. Tirdad Zolghadr, a freelance writer and curator based in Berlin, was one of the co-curators of the 7th edition of the biennial. He will speak about his experience there, discussing among other things the politics of belonging and dilemmas of multiculturalism.
