NATHAN COLEY

January 29, 2009 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Hessel Museum of Art

Nathan Coley’s practice investigates how social values are registered in and developed by the built environment. Working in public and gallery-based sculpture, photography, drawing, and video, Coley’s work explores and reimagines public space, deconstructing and reassembling architectures. Coley’s works in The Greenroom are fragments of a project responding to the trial concerning the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988–a trial to which Coley was admitted under the guise of ‘journalist.
