RIGHTS FOR A SHELL – AN IMAGINARY TRIAL

September 22, 2010 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
CCS Bard Galleries

Rights for A Shell will reconsider the subject of Annlee – and by extension several key motifs in Phillipe Parreno’s work – through the performance of an imaginary trial. Annlee sues Parreno and Huyghe, demanding retroactive rights over all the uses of her image. This short performance will include testimonies by Maria Lind, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Liam Gillick, Joe Scanlan, and Claire Bishop. The project, conceived of as an experiment in educational programming, is a collaboration between Stephen Squibb and CCS graduate students Natasha Llorens and Orit Gat.
