The Visitor Talks – Martin Beck

Martin Beck (b. 1963) is an artist currently living and working in New York. In 2017, he is having a solo exhibition at the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien, Vienna. In 2016, he completed his 10 episodic interventions at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Cambridge and has an upcoming group project at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College / Hessel Museum of Art. He has had solo exhibitions at castillo/corales, Paris; Kunsthaus Glarus; Galerie Leonard & Bina Ellen at Concordia University, Montréal; Kunstraum Lakeside, Klagenfurt, Austria; and Gasworks, London. His work has been included in group exhibitions at Yale Union, Portland; Neues Museum, Nuremberg; the 10th Shanghai Biennial; the Whitney Biennial, New York; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; the São Paulo Biennial; and the Bucharest Biennale, among other galleries and institutions. Martin Beck is represented by 47 Canal, New York.
