Assessments for Career Exploration

In addition to career advising meetings, CDO offers assessment tools that can help Bard students make informed decisions about academic and career choices. CDO advisers work closely with students to inform them about the available assessments, how they can assist in their self discovery, and to interpret assessment outcomes while building an action plan for next steps. Students interested in these services should contact CDO for more information.

Focus 2 Career Planning

Focus 2 guides students through a reliable career and education decision-making model that assesses career-relevant personal qualities, including interests, values, and skills. Students can explore major areas of study and career fields that are most compatible with assessment results, and can narrow and refine your results to find top career searches. Students can contact CDO for the access code to set up a Focus 2 account.

Myers-Briggs Personality Assessment

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment was designed to help you better understand what makes you tick, how you relate to others, and how you can benefit from this knowledge in everyday life. The MBTI assessment and its process of self-discovery give you a framework for understanding yourself and appreciating differences in others. Students can contact CDO to complete the MBTI.
