Jess Scott

B.S., Animal Behavior, Bucknell University. StartingBloc Fellow, NYC 2013.  As Workshop Director of the C2C Fellows program at the Bard Center for Environmental Policy, Jess is responsible for a national series of sustainability leadership workshops for young people seeking high-level careers in sustainable business and politics. Additionally, she manages development, online marketing,and youth career mentoring for the program, and oversees a part-time staff of three graduate students. The best part of her job is the development of the C2C Fellows network, a growing post-workshop community of over 450 Fellows from across the country. Jess builds local networks, develops continuing professional development opportunities, and organizes national sustainability conversations. Prior to C2C Fellows, Jess provided renewable energy and energy efficiency consultancy services to a diverse constituency in PA, as well as designed and implemented a number of educational-scale sustainable technology demonstration projects at colleges and universities. When not at work, Jess can be found hiking in the Catskills, playing the fiddle, volunteering as an EMT, growing food, or traveling internationally.
