C2C is a national public policy initiative of the Bard Center for Environmental Policy.
C2C directly engages students at colleges and high schools across the country with leaders in Congress, Corporations and City Hall officials. Video dialogues and conference calls on climate and clean energy provide students with unique educational opportunities, and also serve to voice the concerns of students across the nation.

C2C operates towards three driving goals:
Education for Change: 50,000 students on 1,000 campuses nationwide actively focused on Federal and Regional climate and energy policy; development of a new model of both policy and leadership education.
Pressure for Change: 50,000 students on 1,000 campuses nationwide engaged in direct dialogue with Congressional offices; campus lead-up and follow-up activities from video dialogues and state-wide and district-wide conference calls.
Infrastructure for Change: Creation of a permanent and growing national network of faculty, staff and students focused on strengthening climate policy; creation of a website providing real time information on federal and regional climate and energy policy, including opportunities for action and engagement.
For the next decade and beyond, young people need a direct pipeline to Congress to stay involved with clean energy policy. C2C will create a very big one.
C2C is a nationwide educational dialogue. Congressional staff value these opportunities to talk about the work they do in a genuine way. Young people have the moral authority to move global warming out of a partisan frame. For them, it is not about Republican and Democrat, it is about the future they will inherit. Our goal is to engage students across the country each year in direct conversations with national decision-makers about how to face this extraordinary challenge.
C2C is designed to multiply civic engagement, move U.S. policy forward, and accelerate the leadership learning curve for a cohort of students who, very soon, must coalesce into a leadership generation. At the same time, C2C provides a laboratory for a new approach to education, providing students with both access to knowledge and the ambition to change the future.
