C2C Events

C2C Fellows convenes regional weekend training workshops for selected current and recent college undergraduates. These weekend workshops support students to envision a path to early leadership and develop their skills. Interactive workshops cover communication, entrepreneurship, environmental and climate science, media, raising capital, and other critical topics. These are working meetings: the weekend’s output for each student will be to develop one key leadership skill: communication. Working with trainers, each student develops and delivers a short, structured and persuasive talk, making the case for a policy vision, or social or business venture of the student’s choice.

C2C Fellows Launch Workshop
The inaugural C2C Fellows launch workshop occured on December 2nd-4th, 2011. Spring 2011

In spring 2011, the Bard Center for Environmental Policy, sponsored skype dialogues between campus and congress on energy, climate and jobs as part of our C2C/EARTHweeks initiative. To participate, faculty just needed to express their interest. Our C2C team did the rest: invitation, scheduling, access to policy resources for your students, suggested questions, etc. We even staffed the DC end of the skype dialogs, bringing a laptop to the office of your Senator or Congressperson at the appointed time. C2C/EARTHweeks has helped us get hundreds of students, faculty and staff in states and congressional districts accross the country engaged and tuned into the critical decisions concerning our future being made in Washington.
