National Day of Action

National Day of Action
The C2C Fellows National Day of Action is an annual day of climate or sustainability mobilization, with coordinated events organized across the country by Fellows and our supporters. Each year, C2C Fellows from across the country work collectively to support youth climate or sustainability campaigns by organizing our National Day of Action.

Day of Action 2013

In April 2013, our first C2C Action involved over 115 campus and community groups nationwide and was centered around a national screening and discussion of the film The Island President. Called A National Conversation on Democracy and Climate, the event linked climate change activism to the fight against political corruption and to 350.org’s “Do the Math” divestment campaign. Fellows from dozens of schools spear-headed the showing, and were joined by broader screenings on campuses and among community groups not directly affiliated with the Fellows Network. The screening was followed by a discussion with film Director Jon Shenk, Former UN Deputy Permanent Representative to the Maldives and Co-Founder of Voice of Women Thilmeeza Hussain, and with Executive Director and Co-Founder of 350.org May Boeve.
