Bard Center for Environmental Policy presents

Moving America Beyond Coal: Stories from the Front Lines of Fighting Climate Change

Bard CEP Distinguished Alumni Lecture with Evan Gillespie, MS '09

Wednesday, April 3, 2019

Please join us for a lecture by Bard CEP alum Evan Gillespie, MS '09, at the László Z. Bitó '60 Auditorium on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019.

Evan Gillespie, MS '09 is the Western Region Director of the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign. The goal of this campaign is to "prevent the construction of new coal-fired power plants, retire existing plants, keep coal in the ground and out of international markets, and promote clean energy alternatives in order to achieve a 100 percent carbon-free power sector in the United States by 2030." We are thrilled to have Evan join us back on campus as he shares stories and key learnings about his work in organizing this national movement.

The evening will begin with refreshments and networking starting at 6:15pm and will be followed by Evan's lecture.
