Bard CEP Second Year Works on Gender and Environment at IUCN

Molly Williams
Margaux Granat, a second year MS student in Bard Center for Environmental Policy's climate program, recently received praise from her internship supervisor as being "a huge asset to our team at IUCN" and for her contributions to the Environment and Gender Index (EGI). The EGI is being launched in November at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP19 meetings in Warsaw (UNFCCC COP19).

Margaux has focused her research on evaluating the 72 countries in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) index for how women are playing a role in environmental initiatives, such as through land tenure, participation in UN COP conventions, inclusion in Global Environmental Fund (GEF) projects, and through the Women's Carbon Standard.

Our congratulations go out to Marguax for her hard and meaningful work!
