Watch Bard's You-Tube Video from the National Teach-In Wedge Stabilization Workshop
Watch Bard's participation in the National Teach-In on Global Warming Solutions.
The National Teach-In on Global Warming Solutions is an initiative founded and directed by BCEP's incoming Director, Eban Goodstein. This year, Bard participated by hosting a Wedge Stabilization Workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Laurie Husted, the Environmental Resources Auditor at Bard, and was attended by Bard students, faculty, local leaders and community members.
The goal of the workshop was for each group (made up of students, faculty and local representatives) to come up with a carbon mitigation strategy to to reduce, or stabilize, our carbon emissions using 1B ton carbon reduction 'wedges.' Selected teams then presented their findings to the audience and were critiqued by our experts, shown below.
