Dr. Ranville to speak at the International Conference on Climate Change Curricula in Higher Education in Tbilisi, Georgia
The U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF), in cooperation with the National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE), and the Climate Literacy & Awareness Network (CLEAN), is holding a conference on Climate Change Curricula in Higher Education over 3 days in June 2010 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The conference will bring together faculty and students to exchange international perspectives in climate change curricula in higher education. The conference will provide multiple opportunities for participants to discuss their work, including oral and poster presentations, panel discussions, and field excursions to areas of climate change impact. Dr. Ranville will be a panelist at this event.
The location of the conference in Tbilisi places it at the intersection of the Irano-Anatolian and Caucasus biodiversity hotspots-a unique setting for educators to explore opportunities and methods for innovative student field work, compare and exchange university curricula in climate change, and strengthen faculty and student career paths though building international ties.
