In memoriam: Michael Foster '07
In memoriam: Michael Foster '07
It with deep sadness that I report that Michael Foster CEP '07 passed away on June 14th. Michael spent the last five years at the American Museum of Natural History, helping lead programs in digital education, college preparedness, and youth leadership. Much of his work was directed to building opportunities for students of color to develop identities as environmental/biological conservation professionals, and working on capacity building/workforce diversity in the environmental industry. These efforts built on his CEP thesis, entitled "Why the Lack of Racial/Ethnic Inclusiveness in the US Conservation Biology Profession?" Michael had just taken a new job as Chief Operations Officer for the AMASSI/Black Men's Xchange Conglomerate. He will be missed by many.
