Organization Overview/Description/Responsibilities

Federal Funds Information for States (FFIS), a small non-profit, non-partisan policy research organization, has an immediate opening for a policy analyst. Responsibilities include tracking, analyzing, and reporting on federal grant-in-aid programs and other federal tax and budget issues of importance to states. Program areas may include transportation, community development, and environmental protection, or a number of other program areas, depending on need and interest.

Qualifications

The successful applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, with a major or minor in economics or a related field. Strong writing and quantitative skills are required, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be evaluated as part of the interview process. Familiarity with website maintenance a plus.
