WEI is a San Francisco-based organization with a national and international mission: to build a healthy and sustainable global community for people and the plants and animals that accompany us on Earth. As such, WEI is engaged in cutting-edge litigation at the intersection of the environmental justice and grassroots conservation movements, and our cases highlight the two movements’ shared moral foundation: equity, the creation of a more just and fair world.
The Wild Equity Institute (“WEI”) is currently accepting applications for legal internships for the Summer of 2013. WEI offers a flexible work environment with excellent mentoring opportunities. Specific work projects may include drafting complaints; researching various aspects of civil procedure and environmental law for inclusion in summary judgment motions; and preparing administrative petitions.
A background in ecology and/or civil rights is preferred.
How to Apply: If you are interested in applying for an internship, please submit via e-mail a resume, a writing sample, a copy of your law school transcript, a list of references, and a cover letter describing your interest in the Wild Equity Institute to firstname.lastname@example.org.
