Humanity faces a decade of decision. If the nation's of the world do not cap and begin to cut global emissions of carbon dioxide by 2020, then it will become increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to achieve the international goal of holding global warming to 2 degrees C. Many observers believe that the obstacles to capping and cutting emissions are not technical or economic, but rather, reflect a poor understanding of both political leaders and the public about the high stakes for the future.
The Bard Center for Environmental Policy is pleased to support two important national initiatives promoting education and civic engagement on climate and clean energy solutions.
