Application Process

1. Applicants must submit an online application to Bard Conservatory by February 1, 2013. Note that all forms and prescreening audio or video materials should be uploaded through the online application on the SlideRoom website.
2. Apply for financial aid. Please click here for details on applying for financial aid and graduate assistantships.
3. Prescreening results will be e-mailed to applicants by February 15, 2013.
4. Live auditions (by invitation only) will take place the first week of March 2013.
5. Admission decisions will be sent by April 1.
6. Admitted students must respond to admission offers by May 1.    

A complete online application will contain:

1. Two letters of recommendation
   In SlideRoom, when prompted, please enter the recommender’s name and e-mail. The recommender will receive an e-mail that details how to submit the recommendation online. We will also accept letters sent by mail on official forms. The letters should be signed across the sealed flap of the envelope, and sent directly to:

2. A nonrefundable application fee of $75
   Payable online with a valid credit card or electronic check.
3. A prescreening recording (audio or  video)
   Repertoire requirements for individual instruments can be found here.
4. A résumé
   If you have separate academic and performance résumés, you may upload two separate documents in SlideRoom.
5. Academic transcript(s) from most recent school(s) attended
   Please request an official copy of your academic transcript. Transcripts should be mailed to:
