Amy Travis

Early Childhood Music, Chorus

Amy Travis Amy Travis holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in Illinois and is trained in both Orff-Schulwerk (University of Kentucky) and Suzuki Voice. Amy was privileged to study Suzuki Voice under the program’s founder, Dr. Päivi Kukkamäki, at the American Suzuki Institute at The University of Wisconsin - Steven’s Point. Prior to moving to New York in 2011, she taught Orff classes and private Voice lessons at the Suzuki-Orff School of Music in Chicago as well as directed her own voice studio. While working with the Suzuki-Orff School of Music, she founded their Voice Program and served as the Outreach Coordinator for the school’s programs in Chicago’s Public and Private schools. Amy lives in New York City with her husband Mark and their two children, Luke and MJ.
