Bard Conservatory of Music

Julia Bullock, Vocal Arts Program graduate, wins the 2012 Young Concert Artists International Competition.

Julia Bullock, a 2011 graduate of the Graduate Vocal Arts program, was named a First Prize Winner of the 2012 Young Concert Artists International Competition. Young Concert Artists is a professional non-profit organization with a long lineage. Founded in 1961 by Susan Wadsworth, it is dedicated to supporting, and launching international careers of young musicians from all over the world. As a winner of YCA, Julia will give debut recitals in New York and Washington, as well as community outreach concerts through out the United States. Previous winners of Young Concerts Artists have included VAP artistic director Dawn Upshaw, Conservatory director Robert Martin, and Bard Conservatory faculty members Jeremy Denk, Richard Goode, Ida Kavafian, Ani Kavafian, Laurie Smukler, and Ira Weller.
