Dawn Upshaw wins Grammy for Best Classical Vocal Solo  for "Winter Morning Walks", her album with Maria Schneider.

Bard Conservatory Vocal Arts Program artistic director Dawn Upshaw has won the Grammy Award for Best Classical Vocal Solo for "Winter Morning Walks" featuring the music of composer Maria Schneider.  The album won two additional Grammy's.  Ms. Schneider's song cycle "Winter Morning Walks" won in the category of Best Classical Contemporary Composition and the album won in the catogery of Best Engineered Album, Classical (for David Frost).
