Application Process

Upon receipt of the application for admission, an interview with the Preparatory Division director will be scheduled. At this time, questions about the program can be answered and a determination made as to the seriousness of the interest of both student and parent(s) in the program. No audition is required. Motivation and enthusiasm are important criteria for admission. There is no interview process for students who are only taking Music and Movement and/or Chorus. There will be a brief orientation the first day of class for students enrolled in those classes.

Scholarship Application:

There is limited scholarship available for the 2011-12 Preparatory Program to support young musicians based upon need. To be eligible, a family must demonstrate that its resources are insufficient to cover the total cost of tuition.  In a letter of request submitted for our review, please provide your income and description of need. We may request additional information including your tax income documentation. 
All information is confidential.

Please submit your letter by September 1st for scholarship considerations.
