Katarzyna Sądej '10

Polish-Canadian mezzo-soprano Katarzyna (Kasia) Sądej, born in Wroclaw, Poland, recently completed her Master’s Degree in Opera at the University of Toronto and was the recipient of the William and Phyllis Waters Graduating Award. She completed a Bachelor Degree in vocal performance, summa cum laude, at the University of Ottawa.  Kasia has performed internationally in several countries in opera, oratorio, and chamber works. She has been extensively involved in the new music scene, premiering several new or rarely performed pieces in the last two years. She made her debut with Saskatoon Opera as Maddalena in Rigoletto, and recently debuted at Carnegie Hall, and international venues including Taipei, Villecroze, Zagreb, Belgrade, Timisoara and Bogota.  This is Kasia’s second year in the Bard Graduate Vocal Arts Program.
