Fanya Wyrick-Flax '13

Fanya Wyrick-Flax Fanya is from New York City, where she went to Bard High School Early College and the Juilliard Pre-College Division. Her academic major is mathematics, and she is currently working on her senior project.  In the summer of 2011, Fanya worked as a research assistant in mathematics at James Madison University and presented her findings at various math conferences including the Mid-Hudson Mathematics Conference in 2011 and the Joint Mathematics Meetings in 2012. Fanya spent the Spring 2012 semester studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She has participated in music festivals including Greenwood, Eastern Music Festival, and Kent/Blossom Music. Fanya is a member of the new music ensemble Contemporaneous, which was founded by Bard students.

She studies flute with Tara Helen O'Connor.
