Driving Regulations and Violations
Annandale Road is a public highway, patrolled by local law enforcement who enforce speed limits and other county and state laws. The campus speed limit is 15 mph. Speeding vehicles represent a clear and present danger to staff and students. Driving while impaired, reckless driving, or any action deemed unsafe by the Office of Safety and Security will not be tolerated. Violators will be disciplined and on-campus driving privileges may be revoked. In addition, community members have a responsibility to follow pedestrian and biking laws for safety, this is inclusive on walking on sidewalks, biking with traffic, using appropriate hand signals and checking for oncoming traffic prior to crossing the road.
The fines list below are not exclusive, but rather the common charges assessed to students.
Lock out fine - $10 per offense
Moving violation fine - $100
Parking fine - $25 per offense listed on the ticket
Towing fees - start at $50 for on-campus tows
