Student Employment Office
Physical Plant 102, phone: 7469
A part of the College’s Office of Financial Aid, the Student Employment Office (SEO) is a resource for both students and staff. Its main function is to review and post all on-campus jobs and to provide and process the forms required for student employment.
Students seeking employment should fill out a Student Employment Application. Copies of the application are forwarded to appropriate departments where placement could be mutually beneficial, and interviews with the supervisor are scheduled. Once a student is hired, he or she must complete a Federal Withholding W-4 form, New York State IT-2104 tax form and Dept of Homeland Security Form I9 - Eligibility of Employment before starting work. These tax documents may be found on the Payroll Department website at: http://inside.bard.edu/campus/departments/payroll/student/.
International students seeking on-campus employment must also complete a Foreign National Information form and an I-9 form from the Student Payroll Office, located on the second floor of the Physical Plant Building or visit: http://inside.bard.edu/campus/departments/payroll/foreign/.
Listings of the on-campus jobs available may be viewed in Bard College’s online classified ads at: http://www.bard.edu/financialaid/employment/jobs.shtml.
