Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Abnormal Psychology

Bard College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in abnormal psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin Fall 2018. This position is ideal for a candidate whose research draws on or contributes to the understanding of fundamental psychological processes (e.g., neural mechanisms, emotion/motivation, perception, attention) and makes direct connections to programs in the natural sciences, mathematics, or computing. A degree in clinical psychology is not required for the position, although direct experience with atypical populations is desired. 
Responsibilities will include teaching introductory courses and upper-level seminars in the candidate's area of expertise, as well as Introduction to Psychological Science, and Statistics or Research Methods, and the advising of Senior Projects.  The successful candidate will have a commitment to quality, innovative undergraduate teaching at a liberal arts college; maintain an active research program to which undergraduates make meaningful contributions; contribute to the general education curriculum; and engage with the life of the college.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. by the time of the appointment.
