Preferred teaching areas are principles, intermediate macroeconomics, statistics, labor economics, health economics, public sector, finance and accounting. The successful candidate will be a Ph.D. or ABD with a commitment to undergraduate teaching in the liberal arts tradition. Located 90 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley region, Bard is a highly selective liberal arts college with a commitment to innovative teaching, interdisciplinary curricular programs and the integration of research and teaching. The Bard campus is the home of the Levy Economics Institute (www.levy.org), an independent policy research institute that recently launched a Masters program in economic theory and policy.
